Fast Stabilsied Towed-Body Vehicles

The company has designed, tested and trialled various towed-bodies, both for surface and underwater applications.

A surface towed body based on the SASS-Q vehicle was recently chartered for specialist near-surface sonar operations and a new compact stabilised underwater towed body is also currently under test for military operations.

This latter vehicle is capable of carrying a payload of up to 300 kg down to depths greater than 200 metres. With its active motion control system integrated with a winch control, the vehicle can offer a very high level of motion stability whilst also providing the capability for constant depth or constant altitude operations.
